Multiple award-winning actor, writer and director, Sam Neill, is probably New Zealand’s most world-renowned, highly respected thespian export; appearing in more than 60 films, he has been nominated for three Golden Globes. His native feature film credits are formidable including the iconic SLEEPING DOGS, THE PIANO, FORGOTTEN SILVER, PERFECT STRANGERS, DEAN SPANLEY, UNDER THE MOUNTAIN. Neill also co-wrote and directed the critically acclaimed CINEMA OF UNEASE: a documentary about New Zealand film which The New York Times labeled the highlight of the Century of Cinema series. Sam Neill’s impact on international screens is truly impressive, including renowned hits DEAD CALM, the JURASSIC PARK phenomenon, THE HORSE WHISPERER, DIRTY DEEDS, LITTLE FISH and LEGEND OF THE GUARDIANS: THE OWLS OF GAHOOLE and PEAKY BLINDERS to name a few.
Ian Mune
Ian Mune is a multi-talented and award-winning iconic veteran of the New Zealand film and TV industry. He has been involved in a huge range of projects as an actor on stage and screen. His screen credits include PUKEMANU, MOYNIHAN, EREBUS: THE AFTERMATH, FALLOUT, SLEEPING DOGS, MERCY PEAK, IKE: COUNTDOWN TO D-DAY, A SONG OF GOOD, I’M NOT HARRY JENSON, THE INSATIABLE MOON. As a writer Ian is responsible for Kiwi greats including SLEEPING DOGS, GLOSS, THE MAD DOG GANG and GOODBYE PORK PIE. As a director Ian helmed THE END OF THE GOLDEN WEATHER, CAME A HOT FRIDAY, WHOLE OF THE MOON, WHAT BECOMES OF THE BROKEN HEARTED. Three Mune directed films have won New Zealand Film of the Year and in 1991 he was awarded an OBE for his services to Film and Theatre.
